Gordian Dynamics has a singular focus on Application and Systems Performance, encompassing all aspects of the end-user experience within your enterprise. This is not about application code review (that's for the software developers), it's about application delivery mechanisms that provide the user experience. There are several vendors, mostly software companies, that will help you monitor the applications you are running and indicate performance issues as they arise, or in some cases before they arise. We will investigate all relevant functional areas that could be having an impact on your application performance from the data center to the servers to the virtual machines, through the local and wide area networks, active directory, Citrix and desktop/thin clients. The initial work encompasses baselining of the current performance and understanding any of the low-hanging fruit that could alleviate any slow-down you may be experiencing. The causes are many, from duplexing issues, to log-in script or Group Policy Objects concerns , to desktop configuration (hardware and software), workflow or network traffic bottlenecks. Whatever it is, we will determine the causes through disciplined Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and establish appropriate remediation following your already established change-management procedures and governance model for prioritization where required.
The work is not prescriptive and encompasses a need for flexibility, collaboration between our teams (you know your business and environment best) and the provision of appropriate rights to allow our team to perform the remediation effort. The results however are significant in their breadth and depth and ultimately allow you to gain greater productivity through application and systems usage within your business.
